WreathsForTheFallen.org has a growing problem
WreathsForTheFallen.org has a growing problem controlling the number of Honor Wreaths to purchase each year. We try to keep the number of Honor Wreaths at a reasonable total with a minimum of extras called for by the cemeteries. WreathsForTheFallen.org must maintain continuity by checking the numbers ordered through Wreaths Across America, which seems to be purchased mostly from the new cemetery locations.
Because of this our sponsors have a conundrum:
WreathsForTheFallen.org, along with veteran families, and Legions have sponsored Honor Wreaths for fallen veterans in all MN State Veterans Cemeteries for the last 16 years. We verify wreath counts with Wreaths Across America, for honoring fallen veterans. WreathsForTheFallen.org coordinates with all MN State Veterans Cemeteries: Little Falls, Preston, Duluth, Redwood Falls and Leech Lake.
The scenario of Honor Wreath purchases is described Below.
By Sponsoring an Honor Wreath at WreathsForTheFallen.org:
- You can personally place your sponsored Honor Wreath or let our trained volunteers place them.
- You may also place a sponsored Honor Wreath for the Veterans spouse.
Should you sponsor a Wreath from the Wreaths Across America National organization:
- They deliver in bulk the wreaths to the cemetery with no sponsor or veteran information.
- The cemetery staff will place a wreath on any grave marker.
